From the start at Bluffton, Indiana in 1979, the
Precision Soya and Alliance Production Companies have grown and expanded nearly
every year. In the 1980’s corn production was added to the available services
and a second soybean/wheat conditioning facility was added at Albion, Illinois.
The early 1990’s brought a second Illinois location
at Farmer City with capabilities for soybean conditioning and corn drying.
The mid 1990’s resulted in a move into Iowa with plants added at Belle Plaine,
Schaller and Whiting to produce and condition both corn and soybeans. During
this period, Precision also began to produce Identity Preserved products in
addition to seed.
The late 1990’s brought large increases in demand
for soybean production with the introduction and success of "Round Up
Ready®" technology. Precision Soya facilities were added at Olivia,
Minnesota, Nashville, Illinois, New Castle, Indiana and London, Ohio to meet
this demand.
